ABOUT
COUNSELING
One of the main services at our Career Center is Career Counseling. Our Career Center counseling team embraces professionally qualified counselors.
Your career development is a lifelong process that, whether you know it or not, actually started when you were born!
There are a number of factors that influence your career development, including your interests, abilities, values, personality, background, and circumstances.
WHAT HAPPENS IN
CAREER COUNSELING?

Students often view career counseling as a “one-stop” activity, instead of as a process which usually takes two to five meetings.
Students can also make the mistake of thinking that a career counselor can choose the “right” major/career for them.
So you can imagine the frustration that is inevitable if you are thinking that your counselor will tell you which careers will be most satisfying or those you are best suited for.
That’s not going to happen, and it shouldn’t happen. Since you are the one who knows the most about your interests, abilities and personal preferences, YOU need to be the one making this important decision.
